Die Frucht der Sarrapia oder Tonkabohne hat ein dünnes und spärliches süßes und aromatisches Fruchtfleisch ähnlich der Mango. Traditionell wird es zur Aromatisierung von Seifen, Parfums und mittlerweile auch in der Kochkunst verwendet. Dank seiner Zusammensetzung hat es verschiedene Vorteile.
